The Guided Self-Attunement Series

A five-part audio series to help you reconnect with your own nervous system. So you can show up for your child from a place of genuine regulation rather than sheer determination.

Why it's so important to start with you

Your child's nervous system is constantly reading yours. Not your words, not your intentions, but your actual physiological state. When you are regulated, your body sends genuine signals of safety that your child's nervous system can orient toward. This is what co-regulation means in practice, and it's why your own nervous system health is not a luxury or an afterthought. It is the foundation of everything.

Parenting a high-needs child asks more of your nervous system than most parenting resources ever acknowledge. The sustained alertness, the emotional labour, the need to hold steady in moments of intensity, all of it accumulates. And most parents carry that accumulation without ever being given tools to address it.

These five sessions are those tools.

Grounded in the science of Polyvagal Theory and designed to fit into real life, they offer you a genuine starting point for nervous system regulation that you can return to again and again, with or without your child nearby, in the middle of an ordinary day.

What is self-attunement?

Self-attunement is the practice of learning to notice what is happening inside your body, emotions, and nervous system.

It is not about analysing yourself or trying to get everything “right.”

It is about slowly building the capacity to listen inward, recognise your signals, and respond to yourself with more steadiness and care.

For parents of children with neurodivergent profiles, high needs, or sensitive nervous systems, this can be especially important. When family life is intense, your attention can become focused almost entirely on everyone else’s needs, reactions, and emotional state.

This series gives you space to gently return to yourself.

Holistic Counsellor
Polyvagal Certificate - Polyvagal Institute

Neurodivergent mother of PDA autistic child

Is this suitable if my child has a PDA profile?

Yes. This workshop is specifically designed for parents of children with a PDA profile, where traditional approaches often don’t work. The focus is on nervous system safety, which sits underneath all behaviour.

What if I’ve already tried interventions and therapies but they haven't worked?

That’s exactly who this is for.
Most parents who come to this workshop have already read the books, tried the strategies, and are still feeling stuck. This isn’t about adding more techniques — it’s about addressing what sits underneath them.

Do I need any experience with breathwork or nervous system work?

No. You don’t need any prior experience.
Everything is guided in a simple, accessible way. You just need to show up and be willing to participate

What actually happens during the session?

You’ll be guided through an understanding of how your child’s nervous system works, how your own responses are shaped, and why in the moment strategies alone don’t land.
The core of the session is a guided breathwork practice so you can experience a real shift — not just understand it.
